Yesterday G and I picked up Marji and Jeff and went for lunch at the CIA.
It was a glorious, clear, warm sunny day, although it started out a bit cool in the morning with fog on the Hudson.
Marji started out with this gorgeous sweater she knitted from Karabella Aurora 8 although the sweater quickly came off as the temperatures warmed up into the 70s. We wandered around the grounds, chatting all the while, perused the bookstore, and followed all this with a lovely lunch at the American Bounty Restaurant. Marji and I both had the Grilled Peach Salad and the Roasted Monkfish. I think I am not alone in feeling inspired to try cooking a few new things after that lunch, and I picked up a couple of fresh local peaches at the farmer's market this morning to try my own hand at grilling peaches for salad.

You both look wonderful!

Out with friends on a fine day, with peaches- what could be more enjoyable?

I did a grilled peach salad with rocket and prosciutto (and something else, but can't remember off the top of my head) for the first time last summer and it was utterly divine ...
